NdotLight Advances Manufacturing Inspection with NVIDIA-Enabled Synthetic Data

NdotLight is advancing 3D synthetic-data technology for manufacturing defect inspection through its collaboration with NVIDIA's technology ecosystem. The ability to generate scarce defect data precisely with a proprietary 3D engine connected to NVIDIA Omniverse distinguishes NdotLight as a company addressing one of manufacturing AI's most persistent bottlenecks.
Vision AI systems need sufficient examples of defects, which are usually much harder to collect than normal production data. NdotLight reproduces scratches, deformation, and other conditions in 3D product models and turns them into training images and data that supplement scarce real-world cases.
Data generated by NdotLight's proprietary 3D engine can be connected to NVIDIA Omniverse-based simulation. Manufacturers can validate and improve inspection models without repeatedly producing physical samples or interrupting a production line.
NdotLight plans to expand deployment projects with manufacturers, improve the accuracy and usability of synthetic data, and extend its business from inspection automation into robotics and digital twins.
